65. Armeni to Fotinos Walk and Cycle in Crete
How useful is this
65. Armeni to Fotinos
Four kilometres of surfaced road. Fotinos has several old buildings almost hidden by more recent developments. To the west of the church a vaulted stone building looks like a fortress. Below the church is a wash-house with fragments of ornately carved stone decorating the walls. It is said to be 800 years old.

Leave Armeni on the road signed for Koumi. This is a very worn tarmac road.
1 km. Take the left fork beside the military barracks.
1.5 km. The road soon passes a large quarry to the east which is a prominent landmark visible from several walks and useful for orientation. You can see a church on top of a pointed hill to the south. This sits on a hill just east of
4 km. Fotinos. The road continues south to the village.
